Fidel Romero.
The Crypt would like to welcome the newest addition to our staff, Tattooist Fidel Romero. Fidel started his tattooing career in 1983 in the heart of Mexico city. At the time, that was no easy task. There were no professional shops to be found. The tattoo scene was underground.
It was on the beautiful tropical island of Cozumel, Mexico that Fidel got his first opportunity to tattoo professionally. He gives credit to Diamond Glenn and Jim Chiavaroli of Austin, Texas for teaching him the technical aspect of the trade.
Fidel believes that a sterile work environment is of upmost importance. He continues to take courses on sterilization and disease prevention whenever possible. He puts a great deal of time into his work so that each client has the perfect design. Fidel believes that it's not just about the artwork but how it will make you feel afterwards.
As tattoos are forever getting the right piece is important. For this reason also, we discourage the use of "Flash" art, artwork sold to hundreds of shops worldwide.
